The most beautiful place on Earth!
I’ve never seen any other place like this garden - my husband and I literally stayed until closing. The tulips farm is of course beautiful, but I also really liked the indoor flower show - at heart, I’m a rose girl. It’s actually my birth flower, so seeing so many different roses and smelling them was just a dream come true!
Lots of fun activities on the Tulip Tour Amsterdam
I didn't know what to expect on the tulip tour. I thought that I would see many flowers and that's it. But I was completely wrong! This tour includes many activities and my favorite was a boat tour. We did it, and it was absolutely lovely. Feeling the wind and enjoying the beautiful views..amazing! There are also some great restaurants and cafes in Keukenhof.

VISIT THE WORLD'S LARGEST PERMANENT TULIP DISPLAY
Keukenhof is famous for its tulips - it hosts more than 800 different types! Walk around the rich green space, breathe in the sweet scents, and just try counting all the varying sizes and colors. A hugely popular flower in the Netherlands, tulip bulbs were once so sought-after they were considered currency - hence their seat of honor in Keukenhof. While wandering the beautifully maintained gardens, it’s easy to see the country’s admiration for the flower.
ADMIRE ALL OF THE SPRING GARDEN'S FLOWERS
Although tulips take center stage, you’ll spot other beautiful flowers on this tour from Amsterdam. Keukenhof - also called the Spring Garden - is 32 hectares large, and 7 million bulbs are planted there each year. As you explore the garden, you’ll see lilies, carnations, hyacinths, daffodils, roses, and more. Each garden has its showstopper; for example, the Nature Garden combines shrubs with bulb plants, while the Japanese Country Garden incorporates flowers from the Far East.
ENJOY FUN ACTIVITIES
Take advantage of your full-day tour to do additional activities. For example, take a windmill boat tour to see the stunning tulip fields while on a relaxing boat ride. If you’re visiting with children, show them the maze - they’ll have hours of fun!

Do you know when tulip season is?
In the Netherlands, tulip season begins with National Tulip Day - the third Saturday of January. Tulip growers celebrate the holiday with a free picking garden in Amsterdam, and from that day onwards, fresh tulips are shipped worldwide. However, spring is the best time to see tulips - that’s when they bloom and when the Tulip Festival Amsterdam takes place.
If you're in Amsterdam during that time, we highly recommend going on our Amsterdam Tulip Tour!
